The Buzzkill Army is here!
Our Story
We are a for profit, social enterprise focused on protecting lives from the world’s deadliest predator- the mosquito. Eco BioTraps was born – wielding science, not swatters, to break the mosquito breeding cycle and shield communities from deadly diseases.
While masks and vaccines helped us weather the storm of Covid-19, vector-borne diseases like dengue and malaria pose an even greater threat. Surprisingly, we still lack vaccines for these killers. Traditional methods like electric mosquito traps, fogging, spraying, repellents and swatters offer limited solutions, merely repelling the problem instead of addressing the root of the problem.
The for-profit venture presents a game-changer: simple, biodegradable devices that disrupts the mosquito breeding cycle. Together let’s make a real impact – one Eco BioTraps at a time.
Meet The Team
Prasad Phadke
Founder & CEO
🦟Man aka Chief Buzz Kill at the Dengue, Malaria Mosquito Party
Always on the lookout for a new challenge to take on, Prasad Phadke likes to call himself an ‘Uberalllosigkeit living the dream of a raconteur’ (although when people meet him they call him the 🦟man). During one of the team brainstorming sessions at a restaurant in California, United States, the mosquitoes around disrupted their discussions which drew their attention to the fact that, in the world of artificial intelligence and moon/sun/space missions, dengue malaria diseases were unsolved problems and diseases that continue to take lives of million people every year. That night he and his co-founder Ash Munshi aka Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur decided to wage a war against the pesky mosquitoes for the greater good.. If the mosquitoes could kill their buzz, they could become buzz kills. That’s how the EcoBio Group, a for-profit social enterprise, was born- to #breakthechain of mosquito breeding.
With over 20+ years of leadership experience and a strong track record of building global brands such as 3Dlabs, Autodesk, NVIDIA and Hewlett Packard in South Asia and the Americas, Prasad is known for his knack for scaling successful businesses in technology- hardware and software, and building businesses by developing relationships with people and creating unique experiences. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FICCI) recognised him with an award for his special contribution to the Media & Entertainment -AVGC Industry and CMO Asia recognised him as the 100 most influential national leaders in marketing in 2016.
Quoting him: “We’ve got a doozy mosquito problem at hand and if you want to get involved with the buzz kill army in any manner, please hit me up – pp@ecobiotraps.com.”
